About The Quiz Night
Our quiz nights are held every two weeks on a Wednesday, starting at 8pm. Our resident quizmaster is Big Steve, but guest hosts are always welcome! It costs £1 per person to play in teams of up to four people. Half of the money from the entry goes towards prize money for the three teams with the highest scores, and the other half goes to our in-house charity, the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
The usual format is very simple: there are two question rounds (made up of 25 questions each) and a runner. The question rounds are primarily general knowledge such as current affairs, science, history, sport, tv etc. The runner is usually a picture round, for example name the film, that cycles continuously on the tv screen for the duration of the quiz. You can fill out the runner answer sheet at any time, and it is the last round to be scored.
