If you would like this to happen, or you have any beers you would especially like to see, then please let us know. Quiz Night Our Halloween quiz was a massive success - we even ran out of quiz sheets! The next quiz night is to be held on Wednesday 14th of November, starting at 8pm, with our usual quiz master Big Steve. As always,the quiz entry money will be split between the three highest-scoring teams and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. In addition to the usual cash prizes there will also be some spot prizes to be won, so even if you don't win the money you can still win something! The Ban Is Here! Call us progressive, but we had a non-smoking bar in addition to our smoking areas almost two years before the ban was introduced! However, as of 1st July 2007 smoking in pubs is no longer permitted. This does not mean that the Allied is no longer a smoker-friendly place. We have installed a large heated parasol in our beer garden, so while you may be exiled outdoors for a cigarette, you'll be able to do it in comfort! Remember, if you smoke inside any public building you are liable for a £50 fine, and we can be fined £2500 for letting you do it. Nobody wants that, so if you do decide to smoke, do it in the garden!
